Who we are

Information we process
- Account information: your email address, optional display name and country that you provide, a protected password record, account identifiers, authentication sessions, and account preferences when you create an account.
- Operations reporting: account signup and recent-activity times, account status, and read-only Premium entitlement state. Google Play install, uninstall, audience, country, and app-version reports are used only in aggregate and are not linked to named accounts.
- Warranty information: titles, brands, categories, purchase and expiry dates, notes, reminder settings, and references to files you choose to attach.
- Local-only information: guest-mode records and device-only files remain on your device unless you deliberately back them up or move them.
- Connected storage information: when you connect Google Drive or OneDrive, we process the authorization needed to save or retrieve files you choose. Original documents remain in your storage account and are subject to that provider's policies and quotas.
- On-device text recognition: Android launch OCR runs on your device. Document images and recognized text are not uploaded to Bengalstack or an OCR provider for recognition. After you review it, confirmed text can remain with your warranty record and synchronize if you use an account.
- Service and security data: limited logs, timestamps, app version, error information, and security events used to operate and protect the service. We design logs to exclude document contents, passwords, and access tokens.
Advertising and consent
The free version may use Google Mobile Ads to show a frequency-limited app-open ad. Depending on your region and consent choices, Google may process device or advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Warranty document contents are not sent to the advertising service for ad targeting.
Where required, the app asks for consent or presents privacy choices before requesting an eligible ad. You can reopen privacy choices from Settings. Premium users do not receive ads from the app.
Purchases
Premium purchases are handled by Google Play. Google processes payment details and provides us with purchase status and identifiers needed to verify and restore entitlement. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Why we use information
We process information to provide warranty organization, reminders, sync, OCR, account recovery, purchase restoration, support, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance. We do not sell your personal information or use warranty document contents to build advertising profiles.
Retention and deletion
Account metadata and confirmed warranty text are kept while your account is active, unless a shorter period is required for a specific record. Android launch OCR creates no Bengalstack OCR upload or server-retained working copy. Security and transaction records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.
Deleting your account removes account data under our control and revokes active access. Files stored on your device or in your own cloud remain yours; during deletion, the app can separately request deletion of linked cloud files that it created. Provider backups and retention rules may apply.
Security and your choices
We use access controls, encrypted transport, short-lived file URLs, protected credentials, and deletion workflows. No online service can promise absolute security. You may review and edit records, export your data, disconnect a cloud provider, adjust ad privacy choices, or delete your account in the app.
Children and international use
The service is intended for a general audience aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. The English-language global release may process information in countries where our service providers operate, with safeguards required by applicable law.
Changes and contact
